Supported formats
The Bildero server has broad capabilities of working and serving many different file formats. Thanks to it users can upload, process and manage various types of files.
List of supported formats:
Graphic formats
| Format type (extension) | Description |
| JPEG,JPG | Used not only for www but also in printing and digital photography. JPEG format is the most popular graphic format, recognized by almost all graphic programs. Files in JPEG format can be compressed 10-20 times in relation to an uncompressed original without visible distortions. |
| PNG | PNG – this format was created as an alternative for GIF and JPEG formats. PNG format supports both images in full color mode and graphics based on palletes. It can be also used recording transparent images. It employs lossless graphic data compression. |
| GIF | GIF main application for this format are graphics displayed on the Internet (animated graphics, logotypes, background for www). Its main advantage is small size of files which are supported by all web browsers. GIF is the most common graphic format used on the Internet. |
| TIFF,TIF | Computer graphics file format. Used for storing raster graphics. Commonly used by graphic artists, amateur and professional photographers and in the publishing industry. |
| PGF | A progressive bitmapped image format for lossy and lossless image compression. |
| BMP | Simply a Bitmap, used for storing bitmap digital images. Original graphic format for Windows platform, recognized by all Windows versions. There is a possibility of modification of colors number (maximum 16 million) |
| PSD | PSD is a format of Photoshop application. Images stored in PSD can contain layers. This type of files can be also recognized by Corel Photo Paint. |
| ARW | File format for Sony camera RAW images. |
| EPS | Used for storing both computer vector and bitmap graphics. It is supported by almost all programs for graphics and DTP edition. |
| AI | Extension for internal file format of Adobe Illustrator vector graphics. |
| SVG | Universal format of two-dimensional vector graphics. It was created to use mainly on Internet websites. |
| SXD | Extension for files containing text documents of OpenOffice.org in the 1. x version. |
| XCF | The internal format of saving graphic files of GIMP application. |
| ODI | Graphic file format of Open Office Documents ( application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.image). |
| ODG | Vector graphics file format of Open Office Documents (application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.graphics). |
